MARY POPPINS : Practically perfect in every way

Do you remember a film which you used to watch over and over? It is often said that your favourite films rarely corresponds when you were a child with your current priorities.In my case,nowadays I hardly ever watch Mary Poppins,however,when I was a child,I managed to watch this unforgettable movie several times in a row.Even now,I love it!.

Mary Poppins is an American musical film,which was directed by Robert Stevenson  and produced by Wall Disney.This wonderful film had received countless awards during its 54 years,the most famous were 13 Academy Awards,which it won five (Best actress,best film editing,original soung edition,best visual edition and original song edition  'Chim Chim Cher-ee'.Its songs were arranged by the Shermann Brothers.It was a critical acclaim when it was released in August,1984.After all is said and done,its success is unquestionable,thanks chiefly to its famous main characters,Julia Andrews (Mary Poppins) and Dick Van Dyke (Bert).Five years ago,Walt Disney Picture released 'Saving Mr.Banks',which plot hinges on the production of the popular Mary Poppins.It was interpreted by Enma Thompson,Tom Hanks....

All begins when Mr.Banks and his wife hate not find a good nanny at leats she endurances more than 2 days with his sons,Jane and Michael.Until one day,surprisingly,Mary Poppins is the only one candidate to work post.So,quickly both children and parents are really happy with this magic nanny.Children love spending time with Mary Poppins,given that the amazing nanny uses her magic to transport into some amazing landscapes,funny tea party or dancing on the rooftops together her friend,Bert.This experience with Mary Poppins changed their life,both children and Mr.Banks.

I highly recommend this amazing film.Everyone should watch Mary Poppins at least one in their life.No matter what year it is or how old are,this unforgettable nanny will never become dull.His goal was to teach a lesson to children and its father about growing up in an entertaining way,without rules.All things considered,what I really loved about this film is the strength of Mary Poppins.Next December,we will have the choice to watch 'Mary Poppins Returs'.....To have an opinion,we will have to wait.

TERMINATOR 2 judgment day : I’ll be back.

Honestly,there aren too many soundtracks which give a special feeling when I start to listen,maybe Rocky or back to the future are one of them….but ‘You could be mine’ by Guns and Roses is also an special case.Cinema audio track is on of the most important point in a cinema production.It is really common to know the music more than the plot.I don’t remember what the latest Terminator was,when I listened again its soundtrack in the cinema,but I pretty call to mind it was an amazing moment.

Terminator 2 :Judgment Day is an American science-fiction movie.It was directed and writter by James Cameron and it was also writter by William Wisher in 1991.First of all,it is significance to point out that this movie was an absolute key to Schwarzenegger’s and Cameron’s careers.Apart from its enormous success,it is considered one the most influential visual effects films of all time.Furthermore,the film received several accolades,and a one the highest-grossing film in its time.This famous franchise is completed by the previous one Terminator in 1984 and  later with Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003),Terminator Salvation (2009),Terminator Genisys (2015) and Terminator : Dark Fate (2019),apart from numerous video games,Tv series or comics.As a final prying,The first scene,in which the nuclear apocalypse is depicted,costs more that the entire first film.

In 2029,the war has arrived between malignant machines and human resistance.Skynes creates the strongest prototype,the T-1000 (Robert Patrick)  to destructive the opposition leader John Connor (Edward Furlong).Yet,the human proyect develops the T-800 Terminator to protect Connor,which is covered in synthetic flesh (Arnold Schwarzenegger).His mother,Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton),who was arrested to avoid the ‘Judgment Day’,in this time they have to struggle with the T-800 to ensure the future of humanity.There,the boy and the robot establish an unexpected bond.

To my mind,one of the greatest action movies I have ever seen.Phenomenal Acting,mind blowing special effects along with an amezing soundtrack.What’s more,the best of the franchise that shows how advamces in technology can affect the future.Flipping Arnie to being the good guy really which helps develop characters,this is the must see movie of the franchise.

….The unknown future rolls toward us.I face it,for the first time,with a sense of hope.Because if a machine,a Terminator,can learn the value of human life,maybe we can too.

SECRET ADMIRER : A love letter

Are current teenagers movies only for themselves? There is not doubt that these films never go out fashion.It is a well-known fact that this type of movies are following from teenagers,however, when these teens become adults keep watching them,despite of the lack of complex plot,we love them!.Nowadays,there a plenty of these films,although from my point of view in the past we could get the greatest like 'The outsiders' or 'The breakfast club',but my favourite is 'Secret Admirer'

This teen romantic comedy film was directed by David Greenwalt in 1985,among its main characters we can watch some famous young actors that later they become in the spotlight,like C.Thomas Howell (Michael),Lori Loughlin (Toni) and Kelly Preston (Debi,John Travolta's real wife).Its unforgettable soundtrack was arranged by Jan Hammer.In 2016,an independent film,'Paper cups' from Puerto Rican,were critiqued on account of to be an almost-exact copy of Secret Admirer.

This entertaining film starts when Toni writes a love letter for Mike,but she doesn't want to Mike knows that it is hers.So,this letter which passed between parents and friends,from one hand to another,and all of them think that they have a lover,which results a plenty of funny misunderstandings.This tangle situation is caused because Toni is not capable to say that she falls in love with Michael,given that he totally falls in love with his best friend,Debi.

What I really loved about the film is how the original plot is shown.I wanted to know what was going to happen to Michael and Toni.Although some parts of the film are a little predictable,I find it entertaining and haunting.

JURASSIC PARK : Our ancestral friends

Have you ever thought a life with Dinosaurs again? Many people claim that these dangerous reptiles will be always present in our memories in spite of them got extinguished for hundred years,for these reasons there is not doubt that these amazing animals are shown in numerous facts in our daily life,for instance in  museums,books,documentaries and blockbuster films.

Nowadays,we are celebrated the 25th anniversary of the first film concerning these 'lovely' animals which was Jurassic Park.This American science-fiction adventure film was in 1993,and it was directed by Steven Spielberg.This film is based on a novel with the same name which was written by Michael Crichton.Regarding awards,Jurassic Park became an enormous success and becoming the highest-grossing film ever at the time ,until Titanic was realised.Besides,it received three Academy Awards,but the strengh of this film is its soundtrack,it was arranged by John Williams.This fabulously movie was the first one of this famed saga which is continued for The Lost World (1997),Jurassic Park 3(2001),Jurassic World (2015) and the last one,until now,Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdon (2018) which was directed by J.A.Bayona.During this sequel,these films were interpreted by several famous actors like Sam Neill,Jeff Goldblum,Chris Pratt,Bryce D.Howard among others.Besides,on June 2022,the sequel has another title,Jurassic Park Dominion.

This movie is set in Costa Rica.To begin when John Hammond and his company create an enormous park where habit these cloning animals,during a journey,the owners received a visitor of experts to accredit this amazing park create negative impacts and but it also brings them positive benefits.Over an expedition,visitors suffer an accident when Tyrannosaurus Rex to escape and attack the group.After that,this park which was built to enjoy is becoming an unsafe place.

I love it because the plot is so gripping that absorbs into you in a fascinating world of dinosaurs from the beginning to the end.Apart from that, it is really well directed,firstly by Spielberg and after by Bayona.For these reasons I would highly recommend this saga to passionate of dinosaurs' world.Now,we have the chance to watch the last one in the large screen..In my case,I could watch in my favourite cinema.

THE MASK : Jim Carrey's show

This film review is dedicated to Marcos Pastor,my nephew

Do you like Jim Carrey? Maybe,Jim Carrey is the typical actor who you love or hate.However,there is not doubt that this famous comic actor has numerous blockbusters,like Ace Ventura,Dumb and Dumper or The Truman show,but The Mask is one of my favourite ....and from Marcos too.

This fantasy and comedy movie is directed by Cruck Russeland it is based on the comic with the same name.This fun film was released in 1994,and it was received some important mentions ,apar of a nomination of Golder globe by Jim Carrey and the fiim was nominated in Academy Awards for the Best Visual Effects,neverthless it lost to Forrest Gump.Regarding cast,There are some film starts like Peter Green,Amy Yesberk and Cameron Diaz in her film debut.
Like a curiosity,firstly the film would become a horror movie,the first proyect was devided to the line of as a Freddy Kruegen sequels.In 2005,it was released The Son of the Mask.

To begin accidentaly inside to a cofre the magic Mask appears,after that it is sent to the city.On the other side,in Edge City,Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) is a shy and sad banker with a unlucky life,who always ridiculated for the rest.One day he meets Tina Carlyle (Cameron Diaz) who is thinking about to steal that bank,however Stanley is attracted to Tina,and seems to reciprocate.
Surprisingly,Stanley finds a wooden magic mask and placing it on his face transforms him into a bizarre, known as the Mask,who is able to cartoonishly after himself.So,his behaiviour changed,and our heroe has a power to attack to people who ridiculated before,and he uses to combat ill-treatment.

I strongly recommend this amazing film not only for its entertaining plot but also for the mistery of  Jim Carrey each scene.Besides,its dance scenes (Coco Bongo,Cuba Pete..)and its songs are unforgettable.Given all facts I set forth … is definitely a must-watch film!!

GREASE : The best musical

This film review is dedicated to Susana,my mother-aunt

Do you like musical films?

In today's world,many people claim that musical films are boring,however we can find numerous of these film genre which are unforgettable,like West Side Story or The Sound of Music,but my favourite is Grease.Nowadays,we are celebrated its 40 years aniversary.

This amazing film is mainly known by their main character couple who are Jhon Travolta (Danny Zuco) and Olivia Newton-John (Sandy Olsson).Grease was successful both critically and commercially.It received an award in the People Choice Awards in 1978 and some nomination of Golden Globe.What's more,their soundtarck received countless awards and a nomination for Academy Awards (Which lose by Donna Summer),After Grease,there was Grease 2 which didn't have the same success (interpreted by Michelle Pfeiffer and Maxwll Caulfield).

1978,Summer nights (it is one of its most famous songs),so its beginning of this romantic film,a young couple meet during thier summer and they have a relationship.
Neverthless,this changed when their summer finished.Sandy started in a Rydell high school,where surprisingly Danny is studying.There,Danny has behavior and he is look like totally different than a guy which Sandy knew during their passionate summer,after that the film is a plenty of musical,romantic and funny scenes from these couple and the rest of characters.Where Danny struggle to recover the love of Sandy.     
Danny gets together with his fellow gang members,the famous T-Birds,of whom his best friend Knickie,along Doody,Sonny and Putzie are members.On the other side,Sandy meets a Frenchi who introduces her to The Pink ladies,another famous girl band (its members are Rizzo,Marty and Jan,and own Frenchi).

As far as I'm concerned this movie is great.It is the typical film which you can't let to watch again and again.Needless to say that Grease is from both children and adults.To sum up,I love it because the plot is so gripping and absolutely catching.
For these reasons I would recommend Grease,although I'm sure you had ever watched it.

SHREK : The lovely ogre

What is your favourite animation movie?

It's a well-known fact that in the history of film,we always can watch the main male character or the prince on duty are a really friendly and extremely handsome,however when Shrek reached for the big screen,all of them have changed.

Shrek is in 2001,it's an American animated film,although it is called as a fantasy,comedy and adventure film too.This unforgettable film became an international blockbuster.It won an Academy Award (the best animation film)
Furthermore,this famous film is known because some voices who interpreted the main characters,various names such as Mike Myers,Eddi Murphy or Cameron Diaz were embodying the main roles.
The sequel,so far,are made,as a part of Shrek,by Shrek 2 (2004),Shrek third (2007)and Shrek Forever After (2010),given that some special programs and different video games,comics or a musical.Besides some secondary characters,like Donkey and Puss in boots become their own films.

One upon a time....there is an ogro who doesn't want to have any relationship with anyone,he lives happy in his swamp in spite of the whole village and some witches want to reduce him.One day,his swamp is invaded for amazing and fairytale creatures for curse,so Shrek travels from the Lord Farquaad palace in order to remove that curse.During this journey,Shrek meets a talkative Donkey who is impossible to get rid of him.When They get to Lord's palace,they get a deal to recover his free swamp.....Shrek has to liberate the princess Fione who is captured.The straigh of this film is the fun relationship between Shrek and Donkey.

Not only it is a fun and absolutely gripping film,it also tackles how the villain in the film can become our favourite character.For both children and adults,Shrek and its sequels are a must.Above all the first part,I can recall every scene by heart.

ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST : Jack Nicholson in a pure state

As a result of Jack Nicholson's 81st birthday,which was last 22nd of April,and mainly for the recently death of great director Milos Forman,I'd like to write my small tribute with this masterpiece,'One flew Over the cuckoo's nest' which was wonderful interpreted by Jack Nicholson and directed by Milos Forman.

This comedy-drama film was in 1975,based on a novel by Ken Kesey that had the same title.Curiously,the writer worked in a psychiatric hospital and there he based his experience to develop his work,besides the title is picked from a child song.’One flew Over the cuckoo's nest' is considered one of the greatest films ever made.This film won several important awards like Golden Globe and Bafta Awards,but overall five Academy Awards like Best Picture,principal actor (Jack Nicholson),actrees (Louise Fletcher),director (Milos Forman) and Screenplay.

Everything starts in 1963 Oregon when Randle McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) is condenated about several crimes to enter on a prison.Although,Randle seems to be apparently  a mentally unbalanced,he is translated to a psychiatric hospital in order to be examined.So,Randle,which not suffer any disorder state,get into the madhouse.There,he finds that the hospital is dominated by a rigorous and strict nurse,who runs her patients with a passive-agressive  and intimidate routine.But, Randle gets revolutionized the atmosphere of patients,among some of them we can watch a very young Dani DeVito or Christopher Lloyd.

To sum up,at the time of I decided to watch this film I didn't know that I'm going to find.Finally,when I finished it,I realized that 'One flew over the cuckoo's nest' will be one of my favourite films.Simply,I was fascinated by Jack Nicholson's performance.So,if I were in your shoes,I'd watch this masterpiece.

BACK TO THE FUTURE : The best trilogy....ever made....

Would you like to travel by Delorean?

This trilogy is indisputable a masterpiece of movie history,in my eyes ,at least.When I was a child I used to watch these films every other day,nowadays I keep enjoying with Back to the future.
The first one was in 1985.It was directed and writer by Robert Zemeckis,but over all it was magistral produced by Steven Spielberg.Back to the future part one was an enormous hit and it became an universal success.All in all,it was nominated for five Academy Awards,where it got one of them (the best soundtrack),the sequeals were in 1989 and 1990.

Furthermore,Currently this trilogy continues to be really popular and as a result it had created  famous video games,a TV cartoon series or a park atraction in Florida (Back to the furure The Ride)

It all starts when the eccentric Dr. Emmet 'Doc' Brown (fabolous played by Christofer Lloyd) was invented  the time-traveling DeLorean.While Marty McFly (unforgettable played by Michael J.Fox) are really interesting in this invent which 'Doc' are developed during years.One day,Marty is tranported to past time and there he knows his mother and as a result,he changed the future events regarding his family and himself.
During this amazing trilogy,Marty and 'Doc' suffers great events,both in the past and in the future,among like when Marty's mother falls in love for her son,the third past in the Wild West or meeting with the future family of Marty McFly.

What I really loved about the trilogy is how the story is.I wanted to know what was going to happen to DeLorean.Although the third part of this trilogy is not on the same level of its predecessors, I find it outstanding and unforgetteble.As far I'm concerned,the trilogy of Back to the future is my favourite science fiction story.

THE NOTEBOOK : An amazing love story

What is your favourite love story?.In the course of the history of film,we can find beautiful and unforgettable love stories like ' Roman holidays','The Bridges of Madison Country' or 'Ghost'.Although one of the most lovely in the modern history is 'The Notebook'.

'The Notebook' is directed by Nick Cassavetes in 2004 and it is based in a beautiful novel by Nicholes Sparks,which was written 8 years before to show on the large screen.This amazing film received countless awards like Teen Choice Awards and the best MTV Movie Award.Besides,Yahoo in 2008 completed a survey regarding the best romantic movie and it was selected for the audience as the number 1.                                   

This American romantic and drama film,it sets in Seabrook (North Carolina) in 1940.During a summer time.Allie Hamilton (fabulous interpreted by Rachel McAdams) is spending her holidays in this small village with her parents,and Noah Calhoun (great played by Ryan Gosling) who works in wood factory in this village,During the Carnaval,Noah becames madly in love with Allie.At the beginning the young girl is not interested in Noah,but finally they start their wonderful love story despite several problems and obstacles in order to carry on their love.

Simultaneously with the story,'The Notebook' covers and reflects Alzheimer's disease.The directed gets to show a wonderful and the masterful way about this horrible illness.In the nursing home,an elderly Noah spends long hours to read their notebook to a sickly Allie.I highly recommend this film because I consider that it is essential if you are a passionate about love stories.
