'The Notebook' is directed by Nick Cassavetes in 2004 and it is based in a beautiful novel by Nicholes Sparks,which was written 8 years before to show on the large screen.This amazing film received countless awards like Teen Choice Awards and the best MTV Movie Award.Besides,Yahoo in 2008 completed a survey regarding the best romantic movie and it was selected for the audience as the number 1.
This American romantic and drama film,it sets in Seabrook (North Carolina) in 1940.During a summer time.Allie Hamilton (fabulous interpreted by Rachel McAdams) is spending her holidays in this small village with her parents,and Noah Calhoun (great played by Ryan Gosling) who works in wood factory in this village,During the Carnaval,Noah becames madly in love with Allie.At the beginning the young girl is not interested in Noah,but finally they start their wonderful love story despite several problems and obstacles in order to carry on their love.
Simultaneously with the story,'The Notebook' covers and reflects Alzheimer's disease.The directed gets to show a wonderful and the masterful way about this horrible illness.In the nursing home,an elderly Noah spends long hours to read their notebook to a sickly Allie.I highly recommend this film because I consider that it is essential if you are a passionate about love stories.
