ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST : Jack Nicholson in a pure state

As a result of Jack Nicholson's 81st birthday, which was last 22nd of April, and mainly for the recently death of great director Milos Forman,I'd like to write my small tribute with this masterpiece,'One flew Over the cuckoo's nest' which was wonderful interpreted by Jack Nicholson and directed by Milos Forman.

This comedy-drama film was in 1975,based on a novel by Ken Kesey that had the same title.Curiously, the writer worked in a psychiatric hospital and there he based his experience to develop his work, besides the title is picked from a child song.’One flew Over the cuckoo's nest' is considered one of the greatest films ever made. This film won several important awards like Golden Globe and Bafta Awards, but overall five Academy Awards like Best Picture, principal actor (Jack Nicholson),actrees (Louise Fletcher),director (Milos Forman) and Screenplay.

Everything starts in 1963 Oregon when Randle McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) is condenated about several crimes to enter on a prison.Although,Randle seems to be apparently  a mentally unbalanced,he is translated to a psychiatric hospital in order to be examined. So,Randle, which not suffer any disorder state, get into the madhouse. There,he finds that the hospital is dominated by a rigorous and strict nurse, who runs her patients with a passive-agressive  and intimidate routine. But, Randle gets revolutionized the atmosphere of patients, among some of them we can watch a very young Dani DeVito or Christopher Lloyd.

To sum up,at the time of I decided to watch this film I didn't know that I'm going to find. Finally, when I finished it,I realized that 'One flew over the cuckoo's nest' will be one of my favourite films.Simply,I was fascinated by Jack Nicholson's performance. So,if I were in your shoes,I'd watch this masterpiece.

.......'I must be mad to be in a madhouse like this'

BACK TO THE FUTURE : The best trilogy....ever made....

Would you like to travel by Delorean?

This trilogy is indisputable a masterpiece of movie history,in my eyes ,at least. When I was a child I used to watch these films every other day, nowadays I keep enjoying with Back to the future.
The first one was in 1985.It was directed and writer by Robert Zemeckis, but over all it was magistral produced by Steven Spielberg.Back to the future part one was an enormous hit and it became an universal success. All in all,it was nominated for five Academy Awards, where it got one of them (the best soundtrack),the sequeals were in 1989 and 1990.

Furthermore,Currently this trilogy continues to be really popular and as a result it had created  famous video games,a TV cartoon series or a park atraction in Florida (Back to the furure The Ride)

It all starts when the eccentric Dr. Emmet 'Doc' Brown (fabolous played by Christofer Lloyd) was invented  the time-traveling DeLorean. While Marty McFly (unforgettable played by Michael J.Fox) are really interesting in this invent which 'Doc' are developed during years. One day,Marty is tranported to past time and there he knows his mother and as a result,he changed the future events regarding his family and himself.
During this amazing trilogy,Marty and 'Doc' suffers great events, both in the past and in the future, among like when Marty's mother falls in love for her son,the third past in the Wild West or meeting with the future family of Marty McFly.

What I really loved about the trilogy is how the story is.I wanted to know what was going to happen to DeLorean.Although the third part of this trilogy is not on the same level of its predecessors, I find it outstanding and unforgetteble. As far I'm concerned, the trilogy of Back to the future is my favourite science fiction story.

As Doc might say.......Roads? Where we're going,we don't need roads.

Do you remember what was the first film that you see in the cinema? I’m sure you remember it,or you have some of them which you saw.In my case, the first time when I was in the cinema with my mum.I watched ET,and I haven't forgotten that day.

ET is originally directed by award-winning American Steven Spielberg’s,although previously writer by Melissa Mathison in 1980.The film got a great success to Steven Spielberg, only it was surpassed by ‘Jurassic Park’ concerning to blockbusters.

It tells the story of  ET and Elliot (Henry Thomas).Once night,Elliot find extra-terrestial abandoned in the forest, after that he decide to take it home. There,ET starts to imitate the Elliot's movements and later the rest of the humans.

Later that day,Elliot's siblings (one of them is Drew Barrimore, subsequently she plays in countless films). They decide to keep hidden ET from their mother.Barrimore, subsequently she plays in countless films).

The conection between Elliot and ET is totally, actually when his friend feels bad after that Elliot too.

At the time that their children realize that both feel illness, besides to Authorities try to capture our stranger friend, they help to extra-terrestial to come back home.

In conclusion, the film is masterfully directed by Steven Spielberg, and the scenes and the camerawork are really exquisite,in spite of this film was in 80s.What is most memorable about “ET.The Extra-Terrestrial” is the extraordinary friendship between an innovent boy and and the capacity to explore the human life through the eyes of ET. Likewise, the script is really interesting and gripping for cinema-goers. The writer has succeeded in creating a riveting and accurately plausible plot.Furthermore, its soundtrack is a true masterpiece.

At the beginning, this film received countless strong criticisms and even two nominations for Razzie (awards to worst actress and director).Besides,It was the first film by Kubrick didn't receive any reward.Surprisingly,it is considered that 'The shining' is totally a classic masterpice in its category.

The films begins when Jack,an eccentric writer and recovering alcoholic, acepts a position as the off-season carataker in an isolated hotel in Colorado. There,He works as internal accompanied to his wife Wendy Torrance (Shelley Duvall) and his stanger young son,Danny Torrance (Danny Lloyd),who has skills to see past horror scenes that happenned in this hotel.Besides, the cook tells Danny regarding to a murder,a man kills his wife and two daughters, which happened there. The horror time starts when Jack is in her crazy-like state.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL : Amazing, fun, yet dramatic fable

‘Life is beautiful’ is  fabulously directed and interpreted by Roberto Benigni who plays the role of Guido Orefice. This film received countless awards like three Academy Awards (thebest film, best actor and the best foreign film), other than  several international awards.

This film is set in Italy in 1939,when Guido arrives at his uncle’s house in Arezzo  in order to work in a hotel. There he meets  Dora, a beautiful Italian teacher, brilliantly played by Nicolleta Braschi (Roberto Benigni’s real-life wife) and he immediately falls in love with her.

The film is clearly divided in two parts, in the first one, there are plenty of different funny situations between Guido and Dora, and then they get married and have a little son, Giosue. In this second part, Guido and Giosue, are sent to a  concentration camp given that they are Jews. Dora decides to go with them to be with her family, but they end up separatedsoon as they arrive there.

Despite this horrible situation, Guido makes up an ingenious story for his son not to realize the horrible place they are in and the atrocities they are surrounded by. He tells his son that they are participating in a contest to win a tank, so that he doesn’t suffer and to smooth his stay in the concentration camp. Through the eyes of the innocent Guido, we can witness the horrible situation that Jews experienced during Nazi holocaust. Unbeknownst to him, however, his parents are undergoing a gruelling experience.

‘Life is Beautiful’ is a film well worth seeing. It is a highly entertaining film and it is bound to keep the viewers absorbed from the beginning to the end, especially thanks to its unforgettable soundtrack, arranged by Noa, which you will never forget .If I were in your shoes, I would not hesitate and I would definitely watch this charming, yet heart-renderingfilm. In my case, I can recall every scene of this masterpiece by heart.
