The breakfast Club is an American comedy-dram film.It was produced and directed by John Hughes in 1985.It’s fair to remark that not only grossed this 80s film $51.5 million, but also colected positive criticism, taking into account that its budget was minimal,Furthermore,in this day and age,The Breakfast Club is considered a cult movie,in fact it is also named as socially, historically or aesthetically significant by the Library of Congress.Last but not least, its eventful hit ‘Don’t you (Forget about me) by Simple Minds is played in multiple parts of this tape.
It’s Saturday,at the Shermer High School, five students are confinement due to their inappropriate behaviours.Nerdy Brian Johnson, varsity wrestler Andrew Clark, unsociable Allison Reynols, popular Claire Standing and the wrongdoe John Bender or also called, such as a brainpower,an athlete,a basket case,a princess and a criminal.During their aisle in the aula, they couldn’t talk or move around the class.Besides, they are supervised by the principal Vernon, who assigns a personal essay.Yet,Vernon leaves the aula during the most the time. There, surprisingly, despite their steem and distint custom, the students talk about the reason of this punishment and they end up having a great time and give away their secrets. What started out as a debatable state of affairs,it could be a memorable and an inseparable group of friends.
This movie’s simplicity and witty dialogue are the elements that make it so wonderful. The characters are well developed, and although it takes place in a few locations,it never fails to impress, entertain and provoke reflections. An iconic 80’s movie, still relevant today.
