Pandemic,wars,conflicts,poverty….it’s crystal clear that we are not living in a perfect society.In fact,in my view,we are living,ever more,in a sad and disturbing World.It is true that there are pleasing situations which make us living charming moments,and we try to enjoy deeply.Yet,it is difficult to not look about the situations that affects us.It appears that governments want to change our world,nevertheless there is a fine line between what is said and what really done.From my point of they don’t never look up.

‘Don’t look up’ is an American black-comedy film directed,produced and written by Adam McKay 2021.Needless to say that its reclaims is its amazing and strong cast,which involves with Leonardo DiCaprio,Jennifer Lawrence,Meryl Streep,Rob Morgan,Cate Blanchett,Johan Hill among others,although I must make clear that DiCaprio had several rifts with Mckay but finally he diced to join it.Firstly,this film was created to Paramount Picture but finally it was sold to Netflix in 2019.It is fair to point out that this satirical film and vindicatory received mixed reviews,some of them comment that it is controversial and heavy-handle.Yet,some scientist and the Neflix viewers believe that it is a positive and useful plot to take into account.As a final curiosity,Cate Blanchett has just received the first Goya International for her prestigious career.

Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence ) is a prestigious astronomer.During a project,she discovers an approaching comet which could destroy our planet.The probability is too high and she talks about it with her professor,Dr.Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and he confirms one hundred percent this chaotic phenomenon.In a due time,they travel to the White House in order to inform about this dramatic situation.Yet,to their surprise,they don’t receive any type of concern from the President (Meryl Steeep).As a consequence of her disregard,they decide to boost this future issue from the media,however the apathy and the way of handling the topic make Kate and Dr.Randall get really angry but with less inclined to struggle.The satire of government,political,celebrity and media show us the real world we are living,without realising that this current world will end up having far-reaching effects.

To my mind,this movie not only tells this chaotic feeling perfectly,but also conveys the message that not everything has to be bright and shinning or sarcastic.Sometimes we just have to tell the story directly instead of making up new/fake scenario to make points……We really did have everything,didn’t we? I mean,when you think about it.

Are you a Warsies? To be honest,I’m not an expert on Star Wars.In fact,I haven’t still watched the last ones.I can’t help but point out that this wonderful saga is a global blockbuster.I wonder for Warsies (Star Wars Lovers) what the best Star Wars part the best one is.What’s more,Princess Leia,Darth Vader,Luke Skywalker,Han-Solo,Chewbacca,R2-D2,Obi-Wan Kenobi,C-3PO,Master Yoda among others bring us unforgettable memories.

This is the Star Wars list,in order of appearance: Episode IV A New Hope (1977),Episode V The Empire Strikes Back (1980),Episode VI Return of the Jedi (1983),Episode I The Phantom Menace (1999),Episode II Attack of the Clones (2002),Episode III Revenge of the Sith (2005),Episode VII The Force Awakens (2015),Episode VIII The Last Jedi and Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.From my personal opinion,the best one is The Empire Strikes Back (1980).This unforgettable film was directed by George Lucas,it is fair to point out that all this saga were directed by this well-known director.Apart from these films,the franchise has been expanded into various facts,including tv series,video games,novels,comic books and themed areas.I must make clear that initially it received negative comments and mixed reviews,although nowadays,it is considered the best film in the Star Wars Saga.Carrie Fisher,Harrison Ford,Mark Hamill or in the last films Ewam McGregor,Lian Neeson or Natalie Portman are some of the most relevant actors of this wonderful saga.

Three years after the Darth Star doom.The galaxy is divided due to this destruction and the galactic imperium is looking for the Rebels around the galaxy,destroying several bases.The film is mainly involved to capture the Rebels and the obsession of Darth Vader to capture his enemy,Luke Skywalker.However,the strong point of this film is when Dark Vader reveals to Luke that he is his father,which is one of the most famous plot twists.

Get yourself queen-sized popcorn and decide to watch of this film of this brilliant saga today.A masterfully portrayed account about this worldwide pop-culture phenomenon.

Do you believe in second love opportunity? It’s often said that our experiences give us knowledge and influence in our future decisions.According to experts,Christmas is a perfect time to analyse our love situation and it isn’t a right one Why not? to dream of a new one.The Holiday is a clear example over this fact,Iris and Amanda had gone through too much in their sentimental life,but Santa Claus will give them a new love.

The Holiday is a romantic film produced and directed by Nancy Meyers in 2006.This Christmas and comedy were filmed with a well-known cast such as Kate Winslet,Cameron Diaz,Jude Law and Jack Black.Needless to say that this type of film usually receives mixed reviews,some of them believed that this film is a leisurely feel good rom-com,yet there were reluctant pointed out that this Christmas movie is thoroughly preposterous,the utter bourgeois fantasy of a romantic comedy.Despite these strong negative opinions,The Holiday grossed over a huge worldwide.

Iris (Kate Winslet) is a pretty journalist who is still in love with her ex,despite she suffered several affairs during their married.Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz) has a similar situation in her relationship.She is a movie producer and she finished her love due to her ex boyfriend's lies.Both exchange their residences in a home swap website due to they need to change thieir current lifes.There,not only will they recover over heartbreak,but will also find a new love illusion.Miles (Jack Black) and Grahan (Jude Law) will make them all the difference in their hearts.

I love it! It’s one of ta handful of movies I watch every year during the holiday season.Kate Winslet delivers a wonderful performance as Iris.The scene with Jack Black on Christmas Eve is a wonderful heartfelt,as are all her scenes with Eli Wallach.Cameron Diaz delivers as the smart movie trailer maker,Jude Law completes the ensemble.The excellent cast and storyline are the right combination.

JINGLE ALL THE WAY: It’s a turbo time

Can you imagine being to the role of Harold Langston? It’s often said that the presents at Christmas is the most important part for children.They usually send with huge passion their letters to Santa Claus or three wise men,yet children are looking forward to spending time with their parents in this warm time and it is true that the situation in our stress society is not easy.I’m sure that Harold would have wished to spend more time with his son in spite of looking for his son’s gift.

Jingle All the Way is an American family film.It was directed in 1996 by Brian Levant and it was also released by Fox company.This loving Christmas film initially received negative reviews,generally from Schwarzenegger haters.Besides,it is fair to point out that Fox was ordered to a compensation due to the fact it was supposed for stealing the idea.Finally,this film had a sequel in 2014.

Howard is a stress business man who is always worried over his work,he spends long hours in the office and his family,his wife and his son Jamie,is fully upset about that because he always promises them to change his timetable.The day before Christmas,Howard is involved in a huge traffic jam,he arrives very late at home.Once he gets home,his wife comments him that if Howard could buy the Jamie’s Christmas wish,an action figure of Turbo-Man which is a popular television superhero an it is so difficult to achieve at this time.Howard lies his wife saying that he had bought this toy.So,immediatelly,Howard goes to the shopping center in order to get it.There,he realizes that it is impossible to find it,it is out of stock in all malls.During this chaotic process,Howard figures out a rivalry with Myron Larabee (Sinbad),a father with the same ambition.In desperation due to his unforgivable neglect,he suffers fights,experiences with car thieves along with police persecutions.Maybe,Howard will keep his promise in future situations.

It’s crystal clear that not only is this film a way of entertaining,but also a comedy.For this last reason,it’s fair to point out that while there’s some genuine laughs and warm sentimentality to be had,it is vital to take into account that Brian Levant’s Jingle All the Way represents everything that’s bad with Christmas today concerning of consumerism.

EDWARD SCISSORHANDS : Alone…in the dark.

 

The story of an uncommonly gentle man.It is often said that you should be as a society says,and when you are not this way you could feel isolated or bullied.Edward Scissorhands is a great example,which under no circumstances should you book by the cover and try to know the person deeply.Fortunately,All of us are uncommonly human with our special values.

Edward Scissorhands is an American fantasy film.It was directed by Tim Burton and Denise Di Novi in 1990.Its more relevant strong point is the role of Johnny Depp as an Edward Scissorhands.As it usually normal the decision was not an easy peasy due to the fact that Burton a well-known casting,such us Tom Cruise,Tom Hanks or Gary Oldman,needless to say that Deep was the best choice.This lovely movie received positive critics and economical benefits.Despite the film had several nominations at the most relevant International awards,it couldn’t get anyone but It fair point out that Edward Scissorhands must have achieved.

To begin with an endearing scene between an elderly woman and her granddaughter.There she tells the child about the story of Edward,who has scissor blades for hands.One day,Peg (Dianne Weist) tries to sell her cosmetic product in a dark mansion where Edward lives.Peg Boogs fells upset to realize that Edward is a humanoid who wasn’t finished by his inventor due to the fact he died.Edward lives alone and sad in this ghotic house,for this reason she decides to take him her home.Peg lives with her husband and her daughter Kim (Winona Rydar).Even though Kim initially feels afraid with Edward,he tries to have a nice relationship and to court her.Furthermore,The majority of neighbors are fascinated by Edward.Yet Esmeralda,an eccentric woman and Jim,Kim’s boyfriend are less receptive over Edward’ behavior.

To sum up,This unforgettable film is considered a classic,not only is it for Tim Burton’s fan,but also the most exigent criteria for filmmaking.I must make clear that were it not for this film,I wouldn’t have known the emotional and sensitive size of Tim Burton….besides,rumor has it that he conceived Edward Scissorhands from his childhood upbringing in suburban Burbank,California.

WORLD WAR Z : Zombie attack

 

November is a Halloween time.For this reason it is a particularly enjoyable occasion was that it brought back memories of my own childhood experiences.I remember playing video games with my friends,I’d like to point out that zombie games were our favourite ones.Resident evil or Silent hill are always on mind mind.This is why when I watched World war Z I couldn’t avoid reminding these unforgettable video games.  

World War Z is an American action film.It was directed by Marc Forster,in 2013,which was based on the novel by Max Brooks in 2006.Needless to say that the role of the main character,Brat Pitt is the strong point.Brat Pitt received countless positive reviews over his performance.Besides,the film was a completely commercial success.Yet,there are some negative points to take into account,some critics pointed out that the anti-climax,outdated CGI along with the lack of faithfulness source material made a awful movie.Finally,I must make clear that a sequel was announced,althouth it was ended up cancelled.

Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) an ex UN agent,and his family are in a crowded road in Philadelphia.,they become in panic when the city is overrun by zombies.Chaos,violence along with death spread.Gerry and his family try to escape from this horror scene to their apartment in New Jersey.Thierry Umutoni (an UN secretary-general and old friend of Gerry asks him to help and solve this crazy situation and analyzing the worldwide outbreaks.They believe that the virus could figure out with a vaccine,although it will be essential to know the origin of this zombie pandemic.The situation becomes worse,and zombies take the global control.Gerry Lane as a head person grab the bull by horns trying to save the world.

In a nutshell,it’s crystal clear that zombie movies are not a genre which have been created to watch in the family.Yet,it is an amazing plan to watch them with your friends,and why not? As I mentioned before looking back your teenagers memories.

THE MONEY PIT : Home sweet home!

 

It is often said that buying a house is the most transcendental decision which we will take during our life.It’s needless to say that you usually take this relevant decision with all your dreams and goals completely intact.In that moment your’re fully delighted,but it’s fair to point out that not all that glitters is gold when you start to live in your new home,about situation Walter and Anna have a master due to their chaotic experience story in ‘The money Pit’.

The Money Pit is an American comedy film.It was directed by Richard Benjamin in 1986.It’s crystal clear that its strong point is the well-known actor,Tom Hanks,although the role of Shelley Long is absolutely great.As a curiosity,the film was criticized due to the fact it is closely parallels of a Cary Grant film,it is called ‘Mr.Blandings builds his dream house’,it is true that there are some similarities.Finally,I’d rather comment that it was a Tv project in order to create a sitcom based on the film,however finally it was later put on hold.

Walter Fielding (Tom Hanks) and Anna Crowley (Shelley Long) are a pretty couple and they work in the music’s world,who live in a rented aparment.One day,they have to leave this fat because its owner,Anna’s ex-husband,Max (Alexader Gobunov) must come back to it.The couple finds a huge mansion in a lavish neighbourhood of Long Island but they attent to renovate it.However,the purchased house is a complete dissaster….the electricity doesn’t work,the chimney is broken,the tubs in the bathroom are collapsed,the plumbing is full of gunk,the fromt dood rips out of the wall…among other problems.The lovely couple tries to be blissful with this situation,although apart from these matters and a possible affair between Anna and Max make this situation almost untenable.

There is a thing that made ‘The money pit’ a particular occasion writing this review,it was that it brought back memories of my childhood experiences.I remembered my own excitement when the first time I watched this film with my mum,after that it was a must watching every year.Besides,it is true that I mentioned something about Tom Hanks in previous rewiews,but he is always on my mind when I talk over my 80s/90s favourite movies.

FLASHDANCE : What a feeling

Take your passion and make it happen……this quote by The famous film ‘Flashdance’ is an universal true and I agree one hundred percent with it.It’s crystal clear that our dreams and goals are usually complex to achieve.Yet,as I mentioned in other reviews it is absolutely essential to have them and never give up.Jennifer Beals,in Flashdance,is a clear example about persistence,constant and efford.

Flashdance is an American dance film.The film is considered as a cult movie.It was released in 1983,and it was influenced on other 80s film such as Footloose or Purple Rain.I must make clear that in its beginnings was deeply criticism by some reviews professionals,due to the fact they believed that its whole plot signifying nothing.However,its box-office and its film poster was an absolutely iconic the day and the ages.Last but not least,its soundtrack arranged by Giorgio Moroder ‘What a feeling’…which won the Grammy award and the Academy Award.

Alex Owens (Jennifer Beals) lives in Pittsburgh with his dog.Despite her younger age,she lives a sensual dancer in a close bar and a metal worker.Although she dreams to become a great dancer.One night,the owner’s nightclub ,Nick Hurley (Michael Nouri) achieves an appoiment to Alex to dance in the Pittsburgh conservarory of dance,but as a compensantion he has negative porpuse over Alex,as a knowledge of Alex has a boyfriend.Alex struggle to achieve her dream,although her hummel past along with her lack of experience give her difficulties to get it.

Despite their low budgets,it’s a well-known fact that80s movies have a special light.In my personal this epoc is the most succesful,not only for its original plots but also its unforgettable character.For these reasons,Flashdance and especially Jennifer Beals are still an icon in today’s cinema.Futhermore,its final dance is probably on the top of the iceberg of cinema history.

NOTTING HILL : When you say nothing at all

Can you imagine to being famous? It’s undeniable that everyone,at least once,had thought to become a popular person and being in the spotlight.Yet,not all that glitters is gold over these statuses,in fact,some famous claim that they can’t walk in the street or having a familiar dinner in a restaurant.For that reason,they usually try to conceal their identities and to go incognito.Now,I am wondered again,Would you exchange their lives?

Notting Hill is a romantic and comedy film.It was directed by Roger Michell in 1999,who has died recently.Although this so popular film involved a successful cast such as Rhys Ifans,Emma Chambers,Tim McInnerny,Gina McKee or Hugh Bonneville,Undoublty its strong point are Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.Besides,its critics are facts to take into account,and the audience and the high grossing support it.Last but not least,Notting Hill was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in several points,and it also won a British Comedy Award and a Brit Award.

William Thacker (Hugh Grant) works in a bookstore in London,more especially in the pretty neighborhood of Nottinhg Hill.His life is not a fairytale given that his wife left him for another man and he lives in a curiously flat with a weird guy.One day,the well-known actress Anna Scoot (Julia Roberts) gets into the shop and Will completely falls in love with her.After that,they have a surprising meets in the street and he spills orange juice on her.As a compensation,he invites Anna to go to his house,finally Anna invites to him at the Ritz Hotel in order to attend her film premiere.Yet,what it seems to be a pretty and lovely love story,it is also a comedy and foolish relationship.

There is no question that this sort of films are absolutely perfect to have a great moment.I would recommend Notting hill,as I mentioned before,for their unforgettable cast.For Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant’s fans,this film is a must.As a final mentioned,I’d like to express that its Principal soundtrack ‘When you say nothing at all’ by Ronan Keating is an absolutely wonder.All things considered,Were I in your shoes,I would watch it next weekend….

MARLEY AND ME : A dog like no other

 

This review is dedicated to my best and loyal friend,Jeycko,which came my home 10 years ago to give me love and life.

A dog has no use for fancy cars,big homes,or designer clothes.A water log stick will do just fine.A dog doesn’t care if you are rich or poor,clever or dull,smart or dumb.Give him your heart and he’ll give you his.How many people can you say that about? How many people can you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?.

Marley and Me is an American comedy-drama film directed by David Frankey and Fabulously interpreted by Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston.This charming movie was released in the Christmas Day in 2008,and it got a record box office.It’s fair to point out that this film had a second part in 2011,and it is called Marley and Me:The Puppy years.Yet,beyond a doubt,the strong point of this film is Marley,a wonderful Labrador retriever.

At the outset,Newlywebs John (Owen Wilson) and Jenny Grogan (Jennifer Aniston) escape from his cold hometown to South Frorida.They just get married and their personal career are at their best moments, although they are thinking over to increase their family.John is supposed to be reject to have a baby,but he doesn’t contemplate it.His friend suggests him to adopt a dog and the couple tend to think that it is a great choice.Marley is a pretty Labrador retriever but he is a sort of naughty.Marley’s company is the perfect complement for this couple.Besides,John works as a journalist and he decides that writing over Marley’s misadventures could be the perfect topic which becames so popular.For that reason and other aspect,it is needless to say that Marley is a charming light in the John and Jenny’s life.

In essence,it seems to me that not only does this enthralling assemble do great,justice to the real story to adopt a dog and how he becomes a new family member,but also makes a funny moment watching it….There’s no such thing as a bad dog,just a bad owner.
