Last Action Hero is an American fantasy film.It was directed and produced by McTiernanin 1993.The main plot of this unforgettable film was an irony of the action genre.Its strong point is the role as Jack Slater,fabulously interpreted by Arnold Schwazenegger.Sadly,this film didn’t find the commercial success and the critical opinions.One of the most relevant fact of this movie is its cameo appearances,Plenty of famous actors appear during this record,such as Silvester Stallone,Sharon Stone or Dani DeVito among other.Its soundtrack was arranged by Michal Kamen,and to the opposite of the nonsuccess movie,the album was positively received by the audience,what’s more it was certified platinum
Danny (Austin O’Brien) is a teenager who lives in New York with his mother.After his father’s death,Danny is naughty and absent-minded with his studies.He just takes comfort watching action movies,mainly about his favourite character,Jack Slater.Danny spends his time in a local theater is owned by Nick (Robert Prosky),one of Danny’s friend.One day,during a act,the teenager receives a magic ticket with transports him into the fictional world.Surprisingly,Danny is in the middle of a risky scene with Jack Slater (Arnold Schwarzenegger).There,Jack takes it with a pinch of salt of Danny came from,and he decides to take Danny to the police station.However,not only will help Danny to investigate to a mafia activities,but also would be a real friend to Jack.
Classic movie.Really brings out the difference between the fictional world and the real world and how horrible/different the real world is.Definitely one of my most favorite Arnord Schwarzenegger movies by far because he once again shows he can do comedy.Would 100 % recommend.
