CHARIOTS OF FIRE : If I can’t run,I won’t run!

 

Nowadays,Tokio 2020 Olimpic Games are showing the greatest athletes.For me when this competition is coming,I looking forward to seeing the running time.Ten years ago (give or take),I started to go running and It's fair to point out that now it is my passion.Running,I have spent and spend amazing situations and  unforgettable feelings with this pastime and with my partners runners (especially with my best friend Ivan).For that reason,I love this discipline sport and what’s more it is so great that it is doesn’t matter your age,your speed,your beliefs or your social position because all of runners have the same possibilities to win.Chariots of fire is a clear and absolute example of this wonderful sport without a doubt whatsoever.

Chariots of Fire is a British drama film.It was directed by Hugh Hudson,Ben Cross and Ian Charleson in 1981.This historical film is based on a real story and its title is adapted into a William Blake’s poem that there is a famous line ‘Bring me my Chariot of fire’.Regard its recognition,it was nominated for seven Academy awards,getting four of them,but its most relevant and well known point is its electronic theme tune by Vangelis,in my view it is an authentic jewel.

Paris 1924 Olimpic Games,the glory is waiting for other athletes,but the way of the success wouldn’t be a pice of cake.5 years before,Harold Abrahams (Ben Cross) studies at the Cambridge University,there,despite he goes through negative experience due to the fact he is jaw,he loves this place and enjoys running competitions at the university.Eric Liddle (Ian Charlesson) is a Chinese missionary and famous runner who is looking for his competitive pursue in order to glorifying God.After years of hard training,they are selected to represent Great Britain to France for the Olympics.Both,with radical life experiences,but with the same goal,getting the gold medal….in their honour.

The performances and the script are no doubt the tip of the iceberg,but I’d highly recommend this movie for its priceless life lesson : our perseverance is the maker of change and the greatest of our lives equates to our faith in ourselves and our dreams….

They will sacrifice anything to achieve their goals…except their honor.

MRS.DOUBFIRE : She’ll rock your world!

 

Mrs.Doubfire tackles a trendy topic in our current society….divorce,although I must make clear in a genius and funny way.It’s crystal clear that in a separation,every one goes through,couple,children and family.Yet,fathers suffer too much when they could see their children.What’s more,the men position is really controversial over this matter.For that reason,Robin Williams is totally obliged to change his genre in order to spend more time with his children.

Mrs.Doubfire is an American comedy film.It was written by Randi Mayerm and directed by Chris Columbus in 1993.First of all,it is fair to point out that this charming film was based on the novel Alias Madame Doubfire by Anne Fine.This well-known movie was clearly won the Academy Award for Best.To be honest,this film involves amazing stars such as Sally Field,Pierce Brosnan,Harvey Fierstein or Robert Prostky.Yet,I much make clear that its strong point is Robin Williams,who was also a co-produced.Robin Williams played an unforgettable role,along with his roles in other classic films like Jumanji,dead poets society,hook or good will hunting among others,made him one of the best actors in cinema’s history.There,Williams was awarder a Golden Globe Award

To begin with Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) is a voice actor and devoted father to his three children (Lydia,Chris and Natalie) although his wife Miranda (Sally Field) believes that Daniel has been an atrocious husband,for that she wants to get divorced.As a result,Daniel’s life becomes more and more dreadful due to the fact the court grants sole custody of the children to Miranda.Without steady job,a suitable residence and especially withouth his children make his future so dark.While Miranda is seeking a housekeeper,and Daniel knows about that and he calls Miranda over this offer.He uses his voice skills to achieve an interview.Daniel decides to change completely his appearance with his brother’s help,Frank,who works a a makeup artist,until he becomes a warm woman and he is called Mrs.Euphegenia Doudfire.Finally,Daniel or Mrs.Doubfire gets the job.Fortunately,he will be able to interact and live with his children even though he could be discovered.

In short,I believe that Mrs.Doubfire having taken the critic and the box office by storm in easily comprehensible given the enticing ensemble created by its stunning approach,plot,performance,make up and costume design.However,as I mentioned previously,its view about the role of the separated father is a fact to take into account.
